Silloth on Solway Golf Club
Further to the recent announcement made by the Prime Minister golf courses are permitted to re-open from Wednesday 13th May with restrictions. Silloth on Solway Golf Club will therefore re-open the course from that date with tee times available to book from Tuesday 12th May at 12pm.
The Pro Shop is closed and the only access to the clubhouse will be for toilet and hand washing facilities only. The disabled toilet will be used for this and both gents and ladies locker rooms will be closed.
Our re opening guide below has been prepared taking in account the government restrictions imposed and advice from golfs Governing bodies.
'Play Safe, Stay Safe'.
As I am sure you will understand, during the lockdown we have only been permitted to perform essential maintenance on the golf course and with minimal staffing levels. Therefore, in the outset the golf course will not be in its usual pristine condition so please be patient. It is more important than ever that when you are golfing that you replace divots, repair pitch marks and smooth bunkers (when they are opened). We thank you in advance for your patience and support during this interim period.
Please note this situation is ever changing and will be kept under constant review. We may need to make some tweaks and adjustments to the guidance should circumstances or official advice change. We will keep you up to date with any new information
Take care and Stay Safe.
After weeks away from the Club we understand how keen you will be to get back playing. To ensure we give all Members the fullest opportunity to play we have decided to implement a fair use policy as follows:
Tee times will be spaced at 10 minute intervals.
MEMBERS ARE NOT ABLE TO TURN UP AND PLAY WITHOUT A BOOKING
What is the Tee Time availability?
o 7 Days a week Monday to Sunday
o Tee Times will be available from 7.30am–7pm
o Only the yellow tees are in play for men
When can I book a tee time?
Tee times can be booked 2 days in advance from 8am each day. For example at 8am on Monday a booking could be made for anytime on Wednesday
How many times can I book?
We expect the demand for tee times to be high so we are asking members to be considerate of other members and try to limit your play to 2 or 3 games per week. In addition, members are asked to consider playing their golf either midweek or at weekends. Some members will only be able to play golf at weekends so to ensure tee times are available for as many members as possible if you can play your golf during the week it would be appreciated if you can do so.
We will monitor the demand for tee times and make any amendments if necessary.
Only one tee time per day can be booked.
If you need any help with your log in details for the BRS system then please email email@example.com
What if I cannot book on-line?
We encourage all members to use the online booking system. If you are unable to do so then please call 016973 32404
Electric / Manual Trolleys
Members can use their own manual or electric trollies. There will be no rental trollies available.
If you have a trolley in the trolley store you can collect this but you must not return this to the trolley store after your round. You must take the trolley away with you.
The clubs buggies will not be available for hire initially. Members are permitted to use their own buggy during their round.
The locker rooms will be closed during this time.
The disabled toilet will be the only toilet facility available.
The practice ground will be closed as well as the practice nets
Course Set Up
All bunkers to be GUR
No rakes in bunkers
Holes have been altered. Do not touch flag
Not In Use
We will be operating a one way system around the clubhouse so when you arrive you will need to access the first tee via the top car park down the path beside the pro shop.
When you finish your round you will leave the course via the gate to the back left of the 18th green and walk round the front of the clubhouse back to your car.
We thank you for your cooperation with these restrictions. Please feel free to make comment on how the golfing experience could be improved during the current restrictions.
Above all, stay safe and enjoy.
