Silloth on Solway Golf Club has a vacancy for a Head Professional
Silloth on Solway Golf Club is a private members club and our 18 hole championship links golf course is one of the best in the UK. Our club has staged various major amateur championships and our club is looking to appoint an employed Head Professional to join our team.
Silloth on Solway Golf Club is located in the north west of Cumbria with stunning views over the Solway Firth towards the Scottish Borders on one side and views of the Lake District on the other.
Our golf course is set on a beautiful stretch of links land with dunes, gorse and undulations framing the holes to provide a world class golfing challenge and is rated in the Top 50 golf courses in GB&I.
The club has a very good practice ground with an excellent short game area located a short walk from the clubhouse.
The club has a good size pro shop with an indoor teaching studio and a separate workshop and storage area.
The Head Professional will manage all the professional golf services including:
- Retail, including ordering and stock management
- Lessons and coaching
- Club fitting and repairs
- Staff management
- Buggy and trolley management
- Meeting and greeting golfers
The club is looking for a candidate who is a fully qualified PGA professional who is experienced in professional shop management. This person must have superb customer service skills and be able to manage a team.
The head professional will be employed by the club and the position will attract a competitive salary with additional performance related pay.
