Silloth on Solway Golf Club
Bev New is a coaching professional at Silloth on Solway golf club.
07549701243 or Bev.email@example.com
As an amateur, prior to joining the professional ranks she played off a handicap of +4 and was in the Curtis Cup team for GB and I in 1984.
She was on the professional golf circuit for 12 years where she enjoyed some success and made her living. When she finished on tour she attained a BSc (Geography), after which she undertook a number of occupations and after a gap of 4 years was reinstated into the ranks of amateur golf where she played for Somerset County Team (once again) and having won the British Ladies Amateur Senior Open (2010 - West Kilbride) played for the England Seniors Team.
In 2012 she rejoined the PGA with a clear idea: to provide proper coaching at all levels of abilities and age groups to further the enjoyment of the game that she had derived so much from herself.
Prior to arriving at Silloth;(which she considers to be one of the best, if not the best course in the country), she was coaching at Lansdown Golf Club, Bath.
She was very pleased to accept the Coach of the year award, in November 2015 in Bath, as a result of her coaching young golfers.
She has lived in Silloth from October 2015 and has been fortunate to make the acquaintance of a number of golfers from the sandpipers, the ladies section and a potentially talented number of juniors (and their very supportive family members).
In 2017 Bev will be holding the following sessions:
1) Get into or get back into golf coaching on Monday 12-1pm and Tuesday 10-11am with a view to progressing onto this very special golf course at Silloth as soon as possible.
2) Junior coaching on Saturday mornings with additional 3 hour coaching sessions during school holidays and after school club during the summer - see junior page.
3) Group sessions of max 6 persons (2hour) plus individual tuition half hour lessons.
See website www.bevnewgolfcoach.co.uk for information or contact Bev.
In 2017 Bev will be commencing as one of the County Coaches for the West Cumbria Girls Futures Squad.
She is also looking forward to providing a number of coaching sessions with the local schools so as to encourage and perhaps, further an interest in golf. She is also keen to encourage families to visit Silloth on Solway golf club to have tuition and enjoy this wonderful course.
