It is unsurprising that Silloth on Solway, Cumbria golf club is ranked within Golf World's top fifty UK courses and is at the very top of the list in terms of customer value. In 2012 the Club will be hosting the English Amateur Championship from 30th July - 4th August.  Silloth on Solway Golf Cumbria  hosted the 2002-2007 R & A Regional Open Championship Qualifier, and in 2007 the English Ladies Close Amateur Strokeplay Championship. In 2009 the club also hosted the EGU Mid Amateur Championship for the Logan Trophy.

In GOLF WORLD 2008 rankings the Silloth links is in 49th place in the British Isles and 20th place in England.  It gets even better, our position is 11th best for Links courses in England and we are described as "an exciting layout full of surprises".

In their review of Britain and Ireland's top courses  GOLF MONTHLY has placed Silloth on Solway in a fantastic 55th place. Their tribute said "the best value course in their top 100". Cumbria's number one golf course is now one of the top links courses in England.
